Bill Keefe put himself on the ballot for the New Hampshire primary because he believes he has a vision for what America can become in what he calls “The American Time”. He believes America and the world are in a state of crisis due to the lack of leadership in our politicians. He sites many causes of the current status quo, but his main platforms include the Iraq War, healthcare, and education. Keefe uses his experience as a motivational speaker to attack all three of these problems. He calls his idea Strategic Equality and he uses this chart to describe it:

Strategic Equality:
A New American Paradigm for "fixing"...
healthcare and education…global economic inequality…the war against terrorism
Keefe’s means of achieving the state of Strategic Equality is though harnessing current social networking technology for entrepreneurial use. He strongly believes in America’s ability to solve problems with knowledge and technological innovation and uses the slogan W.A.Y. (Wisdom is Always Yours) to expound his idea of self-development and reliance that he sees as key to America holding its power in the era of globalization. He believes the solutions are out there we just need to harness the power of our intellects and skills. His main ideas stem from expanding entrepreneurial opportunities to a larger portion of Americans. Keefe also sees this as the solution to world hunger by “franchising” the food economy and making it more of capitalist, input-intensive endeavor
1. Give the task of fixing education and healthcare to “The People”
This is America…it’s almost as though we have forgotten how to do the really BIG things.
Perhaps Lincoln said it best “Determine that the thing can and shall be done…and then we shall find the way” or as the artist Richard Serra puts it…the work determines what comes next.
If we begin together and determine not to stop until all of US are a part of the solution…we can do this BIG thing. Within our collective knowledge, experience and imagination resides the healthcare and education solution if we have the inclination to do the work. But we will never find it… if all we continue to do is talk around the problems and avoid the heavy lifting.
Let US not be afraid to make mistakes, to get our hands dirty or to look into the teeth of adversity…for we just might like what we see in ourselves and in each other when we do.

2. Transition every Library into a Community Entrepreneurial Support Center
3. Turn “The Heartland of America” into the Heartland of the World and End World Hunger
Start talking about ending world hunger and all of a sudden people think capitalism goes out the window...well that couldn't be further from the truth.
The TRUTH is capitalism is the only answer to ending World Hunger and there are 300 million Americans who know better than any people on earth how to turn food into money.
"Turn food into money"...that's it. That's what we need to do to end hunger...and in time with the development of the Learning Economy and the Compassion Economy...END Global Poverty.
Stand on the corner of a suburban commercial zone and look at all the people who make their money from food...
My question is how do we bring a Food Economy to scale in every poor neighborhood in the world?
- Keefe also wants to unite Americans on 8 core values he sees anyone who believes in the American spirit should hold:
- Democracy
- Capitalism
- Family
- Faith
- Equality
- Military Power
- Moral Authority
- Level Playing Field
What Bill Keefe seems to stand for is whatever the American people, through the process of social networking and collaboration, decide is best for America. This seems noble, however, this assumes the notion that compromises can be reached and there are not competing elements in society struggling for power in society. We all want to choose our own destinies; however, history is full of ideas that seem great in the short-run, but over time proved dangerous or fool-hearted. If political issues could be resolved simply be opening them up to society we would have solved our problems long ago. Politics is such a dirty game because making policy that governs real life is a messy, convoluted process with as many compromises as solutions. Keefe has used his analytical engines to determine how to find populist solutions to issues; while our next President must listen to the voice of the people he must also be able to formulate and propose the actual measures to be taken to attack the problems of our day.
